Town Hall Will Deal With the Diseases That Affects Not Only the Vietnam Veterans But Birth Defects, Rare Diseases, and Learning Disabilities Affecting Their Children, Grandchildren And Up To Six Future Generations.

Vietnam Veterans Also Were Exposed To Hepatitis and Hepatitis C from Blood Transfusions,  Vaccinations And Blood Exposure. Health Problems Also Came from Breathing Toxic Gas And Smoke.

Our Children Are Innocent Victims of Our Exposures And Need The Future Help Of Our Government to Cope With These Problems.  ‘We Worry About Our Future Generations And How They Will Be Taken Care Of After We Are Gone.

The Veteran’s Administration Regional Office Will Have People at This Event To Help With Claim Filings Or Assistance On Existing Claims.  Talk To a Live Person!

Veterans Talk and Resource Fair at Lewis and Clark Community College

VFW Members are invited to Veterans Talk and Resource Fair at Lewis and Clark Community College.

This event will take place at the Hatheway Cultural Center located at 5800 Godfrey Rd., Godfrey, Illinois 62035, Saturday. August 13th. 2016. The first hour will consist of an informative presentation that allows attendees to ask important questions to panelist. Attendees can also take advantage of the resource fair, where they can receive information about active duty, veteran and military benefits.

This will be a community partnership that includes local, state, and federal government agencies as well as resource organizations whose aim is to provide services and support to our area veterans. There is no cost to attend this event.

Faith in Action is a volunteer organization serving those in need due to age or disability in Caseyville, Collinsville, Maryville, and State Park, IL

Veterans Senate Bill 107 – helps service-related disability veterans.

Illinois Governor Rauner signs a bill helping veterans with a service related disability.

Senate Bill 107 provides a multi-tiered set of exemptions from local property taxes for homeowners who have a service-connected injury, with a disability of at least 30 percent.

To see if you qualify, call the East St. Louis Vet Center at 618-397-6602 or 877-927-8387 between the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
