The Collinsville VFW is looking for cheerful and courteous volunteers to help us with our Buddy Poppy Campaign on November 4 and 5. Are you a veteran or have a family member that is a veteran? Are you affiliated or know a youth group or service group willing to put in a few hours to help out a great cause? Are you looking to give back to the Veterans who so bravely fight for our country? We are looking for honest people that love their country and are willing to spend a couple hours on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday in early November handing out Buddy Poppies.
VFW Buddy Poppies are assembled by disabled, needy and aging veterans in VA Hospitals, State Veterans Homes and Domiciliaries across the country. The majority of proceeds derived from each campaign conducted by VFW Posts and their Auxiliaries are retained locally to provide for veteran services and welfare. Buddy Poppy proceeds represent no profit to any VFW unit and all money contributed by the public for Buddy Poppies is used in the cause of veterans welfare, or for the well-being of their needy dependents and the orphans of veterans.
Would you be so kind to set aside a couple hours to help? If so, we would love to have you join. You may sign up through our links below, or contact us via email.

Last year 500+ “crispy” treats and 2,000+ cookies were made! lt’s really quite an operation, but when sending to 500+ soldiers, it’s just a drop in the
bucket. If the November 20th date doesn’t work in someone’s calendar, the coordinator will be more than happy to accept any homemade cookies, brownies or fudge anyone makes on their own. Just contact Bobbi any time before then and she will arrange for a pick up!
